Spring Term

Welcome back Class Three!

We are so looking forward to Spring Term and learning about the Greeks. It's a short a term and we have got lots to fit in.

Musical Mondays

On a Monday Class Three take part in music lessons with Mrs Jenkins. She is a specially trained music teacher and has taught us some amazing things. We really enjoy our Monday morning session with her and it has really helped to build our confidence and extend our music ability.

Our famous reading area!

We are currently reading The Midnight Gang by David Walliams. We loved the book so much we decided to turn our reading area into a giant version of the book. Miss Ablett and Mrs Forrest worked together to create the exciting space and thought that David Walliams might like to see. Miss Ablett decided to send a photo to David on Twitter. She didn't think he would respond as he has such a busy life and so was VERY surprised when she looked back on her Twitter and saw that he had liked her picture! Class Three were so excited and happy to have shared with the fantastic author. We have now got an address to write to so we are going to send some letters to David and some of our own Midnight Gang illustrations!

Greek Day!

We had a great day in Class Three doing all things Greek! We dressed up in Ancient Greek dress and everyone looked fantastic. We tried Greek food, even stuffed vine leaves and olives which we weren't sure about at first. We also decorated our own Greek vase and created a Greek mask. The messiest part of the day was building our own papier-mache volcano. It was lots of fun but very gloopy! Everyone enjoyed the day and Miss Ablett was really proud of the class.

World Book Day!

We had a fantastic day celebrating World Book Day. There were some amazing costumes in Class Three and we had a lovely day. We did lots of reading and enjoyed writing our own stories and designing front covers for books.

Beth Dobbin visit

Commonwealth athlete Beth Dobbin came to visit us during the week. We all got to do a different circuit with her which was really hard work. We worked so hard and were all out of breath and rather sweaty! This was what we had been sponsored to do. In Class 3 we raised lots of money and got lots of sponsors. It was rally interesting to listen to Beth talk to us about how she got into sport and the different challenges she faced along the way. It was very inspiring!
