Updates and Events for your Diary – Phonics Meeting, School Photos, Harvest Festival, Parents’ Evening, Flu Catch Up Clinic, Half Term, Dates for Next Half Term

Dear Parents and Carers,

As we are reaching the last two weeks of this half term, I thought it would be helpful to write with a reminder of some upcoming events and activities, and also give you some dates for your diary for the busy Christmas half term.

Reception & Year 1 Parents – Phonics Meeting – Wednesday 12th October
This will be tomorrow at 3:45pm at school.

Individual School Photos – Thursday 13th October

Tempest will be in school on Thursday to take individual and sibling photos of the children. If you have a preschool child that you would like to be included in a group photo, please come to the hall between 8:30 and 9:00am and we can arrange this for you. The photos will be available to purchase online direct from Tempest. You will receive paper copy proofs of your photos with the unique order code, and if you make an order you can have it delivered to school or, for an additional fee, directly to your home. Please be aware there is usually an order timeframe window if you wish to have the photos delivered to school.

Harvest Festival – Thursday 13th October

We are taking in donations for the Harvest Festival on Thursday morning. We would be grateful if children could bring in tinned or dried food items to add to the collection. The produce will then be taken to St Mary’s Church for our Harvest Festival Service, led by Class 6.
Class 6 parents are invited to join us for the service at the church, which will begin at 2:00pm.

Parents’ Evening – Thursday 20th October

We are delighted to hold the parents evening appointments back in school this year, with time slots available starting at 3:30pm on Thursday 20th October. Appointments are in 5-minute intervals, and can be booked by calling into the school office or telephoning the Admin Team. Please note that appointments can be booked from Wednesday 12th October.

Flu Clinic Catch Up Session – Tuesday 25th October (Goole Leisure Centre)

Any children who missed the flu immunisation session in school will have the opportunity to attend the catch-up clinic in the half-term holidays. This will be held at GOOLE LEISURE CENTRE on Tuesday 25th October. To book an appointment, please call IntraHealth on 03333583397 and go through the options for the East Riding Office.

Half Term Holidays

The last day of school is Thursday 20th October. We are closed on Monday 31st October  and we will reopen on Tuesday 1st November.
