Class 5 had a visit from a Roman centurion this week. After an informative chat with the class, our centurion put two students through training to become different types of Roman soldiers. In the afternoon, the class took part in four different workshops: learning about formation and attack; making clay oil lanterns; studying and sketching Roman ‘artifacts’; and creating a Roman board game.
